ViaSat Selected as MIDS Tactical Network Terminal Supplier for Turkish Air Force

CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ViaSat Inc. (Nasdaq: VSAT) has been selected by the Turkish Air Force as the supplier for an additional 194 Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) airborne Low Volume Terminals (LVT(6)). Turkey plans to install the terminals on its fleet of F-16 Fighting Falcon jet fighters. The order will be placed under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program and is in addition to the quantity announced as part of the MIDS Lot 7 award, bringing the total expected Turkish order to 203 terminals. Delivery of the units is expected to begin in October of this year and continue through the 4th quarter of ViaSat's fiscal year 2010 (Jan.-Mar., 2010).
